Food is always hot and prompt. The guy at the window is polite and full of energy. Try their gyros the cucumber sauce is amazing!!!

Good gyros but for some reason, the one close to downtown was always better. The fries at this one aren't as good and had an old grease aftertaste. I sill liked it. The best gyros I've had.

Open late. It's small but tastes good when you are in the right mood for a gyro. I prefer to go here also for another reason, not just their hours and food taste, but the price is better than a certain competitor's as well.

I actually like this place, good food, good prices. You can see your food being prepared/cooked.the guys are pretty fast wit your order and it's better than McDonalds.

The food is always so tasty and fresh. Their biggest plus is they're open LATE which is perfect for those late night cravings.

We Are from Sterling Illinois and for the first in the many years Docturing in Rockford we wanted something different to eat. and because we are still under Covid19 rules we wanted somewhere where you could sit out on tables. We decided to stop at Uncle Nick’s. let me tell you , we have been missing some great food coming up this way all these years!!we ordered a polish sandwich with everything, chicken strips with fries and I ordered the chicken on a pita bread with gyro sauce. And I ordered the sweet potato fries, mmm!😋 Was everything ever so deelicious! We know we will be coming back!

The good was generally cold. The hot dogs were not warm at all.

Said two lanes, but left side was dead with outdated menu list. Right side was alright and so were the food and service. Great gyros and good lemonade!!

The gyros and french fries never disappoint at Uncle Nick's. The food is pretty much prepared to order, so it isn't instant but it is hot and fresh. Most of the items on the menu are good - I like the fried mushrooms, but I stay away from the pizza puff. This location is just a drive thru. They're open very late, which is good because Uncle Nick's tastes better the later you go!

Still the best gyro in the Western hemisphere. don't bother much with The baklava or anything else, although the fries are pretty darned good. What you really need is the gyro with extra onion and don't forget the extra tzaziki (sauce) on the side!

I don't know what happened to this place! I had to wonder after the food I ordered if (Uncle Nick) still owned this place. I was far from happy with my food.. 6th and State St I have always had good food but this wasn't the same at all.. Sad... I will try the other location again to make sure! I hate to bag on a local place but it wasn't good .

Good burgers, good gyros, good fryes. Nice people, a little slow at times but what can you expect when you have one person doing all the work.

Food was great. Hard to eat an Italian beef in car with out making a huge mess, so I made a mess. Thanks to Nick's for the handful of napkins. The sandwich was wonderful.

I always treat a gyro at Nick's as a special event. These are REAL gyros. The staff is terrific. We eat in the parking lot because we drive down from Wisconsin just to eat there.

More than likely some of the best gyros in the entire country!! Get it with a Greek salad and some saganaki and you've got yourself a great authentic Greek meal👍😁

Good food and pretty quick

Today is my first day ordering from Uncle Nick's, and I must say that I didn't go wrong. I ordered an Italian beef combo, and it was delicious. I'm from Chicago so I know what a good beef combo tastes like, and Uncle Nick's gets a thumb way up for their offering. The fries were fresh and tasty also. I haven't had a beef combo this good since I left my hometown in 2015. Thanks Uncle Nick!

Just didn't taste right, I've had same thing before. Had a different taste. Didn't like it. And my onion rings, there was only 4 rings and a couple broken ones in the bag, not good for the price

If you live in Rockford or even passing through, this is a must go place! It’s the perfect late night munchie drive thru, it’s affordable and staff are always kind. You know they’re good because they are always busy. I recommend the philly cheese steak and the gyros are too delicious🤤

Great food no matter what you choose and I agree the store on state and 6th is still my favorite. There is no replacing the feelings of comfort . No disrespect to the newer store , but one is always excited to go to "" Grandma's house "" if you get my point.

Good food love the Philly steak sandwich,they have string fries there okay I like crinkle cut myself but there ok. the restaurant itself is bad not as bad as there other location but would not eat inside. The beef sandwich is good too ask for auju might be a little dry at times. There Chicago dog is big it comes with relish(not bright green Chicago style)pickle onion peppers mustard no poppy seed bun just a regular plain bun and no fries. Can get a little pricey . They need hot dog fries drink for like 5.00 if they had that would go here more often. Overall it good but not great

I like this place. If you are looking for a good gyro then this is a place for you. I also like to get the Italian Beef sandwich as well as the Italian sausage. The food comes to you hot and fresh. I enjoy eating their food.
